Guppy fish culture was initiated to create and construct an eco-friendly environment to keep the mosquito population and incidences of mosquito borne diseases under control. The process of guppy fish culture was an exercise harvesting the mosquito eating fish in the drains of the city.
Our organization with collaboration from Oil India Limited and Malaria Research Center, has released guppy fish in almost all the localities of Guwahati during 2011. We have contributed towards this project from last 10 years.
